Purpose Point: Creating Clarity and Alignment Through Strategic Planning

The Organization
Purpose Point Community Health is a faith-based, Chattanooga-based nonprofit that provides services to those in the community who cannot afford healthcare and do not have health insurance.

The Challenge
Purpose Point Community Health was at a crossroads. Without a clear growth strategy or defined expectations for staff, the organization found itself stuck in a cycle of revamping without real progress. Misalignment between the board and staff further slowed momentum, leaving the team unsure of how to move forward.

The Approach
We stepped in and began with in-depth consultations across the organization—engaging both board members and staff to surface key challenges and uncover root issues. We also led community conversations to better understand external perceptions and needs. From there, we facilitated strategy sessions and developed a comprehensive multi-year strategic plan for the organization, including a summary and formal presentation to both board and staff.

The Outcome
The strategic planning process helped reset and realign Purpose Point. With clearly defined objectives and time-specific action items, Purpose Point gained the clarity and cohesion it needed to move forward with purpose. The result: stronger communication between the board and staff, and a roadmap to guide growth and decision-making for years to come.
